Hunger was a little known band, but therefore not a bad band. Hunger has been forgotten for many years Hunger was born in 1992 from the ashes of Dark Angel, separated in 1992.Hunger was a groove metal band, as many others on ’90. Ron Rinehart and Eric Meyer joined forces with Greg Roe and RD Davies to form this band. Before Hunger’s breakup in 1993, the band recorded one 3 song demo (Considered an EP by the band members), but there were 10-12 songs written and several of them were recorded and never released. Six years later of their breakup, a Greek magazine called Metal Invader re-released their 1993 demo as a split with two more demos from Dark Tranquillity and Infernäl Mäjesty.
On the cover of this split Dark Angel’s logo was on instead Hunger’s logo, because they wanted to simulate that this was the famous Dark Angel’s unreleased 1992 demo “The Atrocity Exhibition”. This was false, because the only copy of that demo is property of Dark Angel’s drummer and long-time member Gene Hoglan.
The years have passed, but the true metal-heads don’t forgive this big underrated band. Here is a list of 10 best riffs of Hunger. (SOURCE: http://hungerband.blogspot.co.uk/)
