Lazarus A.D. is a THRASH METAL BAND from Kenosha, Wisconsin, originally formed as “Lazarus” in 2005. The “A.D.” was added to avoid potential legal issues.
The first incarnation of the band was under the name Aslan, after a character in the novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. With money earned from local shows and T-shirt sales, they recorded a self-titled demo tape in 1986. After discovering another band with the same name, they changed theirs to Psychotic Waltz and recorded a new four-song demo in 1988.
Living Sacrifice is a Christian heavy metal band that formed in September 1989 in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. The band has released eight studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson as a more thrash metal and death metal oriented band. The band evolved into a metalcore style beginning with Reborn (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals.
MX is a Brazilian thrash metal band, formed in the early 1980s in São Paulo. Its name comes from the American ICBM MX missile. MX was one of the most important bands from the Brazilian thrash metal scene during the late 1980s. The band’s sound is closer to the Bay Area thrash scene than the Brazilian scene, although many of the vocals were death metal grunts. However, some of its later work was fitting as post thrash.
Crisix was born in February, 2008 under the name of Crysys. The band was originally formed by Javi Carrión and Marc Torras (ex-members of Shadon). For the search of the other components, they appealed to friends of other local bands, and this way Marc Busqué (ex- Helltears) and Albert Requena (ex-Face) joined as the guitars. The first singer of the band couldn’t be present at the presentation’s concert, and they decided to replace him for Julián Baz (bassist of Bourbon Society). The group realized that Juli’s voice was fitting better to the style that the band was looking for, and they decided to propose him the singer’s position, closing definitely the formation.
Blood Feast first split up in 1991. They did a one-off live gig at the March Metal Meltdown in Asbury Park, New Jersey in 1999. They reformed once again in 2007 and have been continued playing together since.
Equinox was a thrash metal band from Fredrikstad, Norway that started in 1987. The initial band members were Grim Stene (guitar/vocals), Ragnar ‘Raggen’ Westin (drums) and Skule Stene (bass guitar) who were all ex-Rebellion members. In 1988 Tommy Skarning joined as a second guitarist. On the Labyrinth album Tommy was no longer with the band, and Raggen was exchanged with Jørn Wangsholm. The band broke up in 1995.
Immaculate formed in 2004 as the brainchild of Nino Vukovic. The band has from its early beginnings up to and including the conception and execution of their second album, entitled ‘Atheist Crusade, had a very strong focus on riffs and songwriting.
Ghoul is a THRASH METAL band from Oakland, California. Though the members’ actual identities are meant to be concealed, it is known that some members of Ghoul also play or have played in other bands such as Impaled, Dystopia, Wolves in the Throne Room,Exhumed, Phobia, Asunder and Morbosidad. Ghoul released their debut album in 2002 and since then have released four full studio albums.
