Grand theft, drug abuse, assault, armed weapons, lewd acts, car chases and even avoiding the taxman – sounds like a thousand Hollywood movies doesn’t it? In reality, these just some of the crimes some of Hollywood’s elite can lay claim to being involved with.
Stars… They’re just like us! They even commit crimes like regular folks do. Remember, just because someone is famous, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not infamous. Case in point, here are ten celebs you might not know are criminals.
In 1987 Broderick killed two women in a car crash when he drove into the wrong lane. His victims died instantly. For the crime Broderick was fined 175 dollars.
The Jamaican dancehall star was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of an associate. Kartel boosted that his victim had been chopped so small his will never be found.
He was charged with domestic assault after hitting then wife Madonna in the head with a baseball bat. On another occasion he broke into her house, tied her to a chair for 9 hours, gagged and assaulted her.
Aged 16, Mark was charged with attempted murder for his unprovoked attack on 2 Vietnamese men. He racially abused his victims before smashing one´s head with a stick and punishing the 2nd victim in the face.
By age 13 he´d been arrested 38 times. Crimes included burglary, assault and narcotic use. In 1992 he spent 3 years in prison for raping an 18-year-old beauty queen.
In 1996 he was arrested for beating his girlfriend, knocking her out and leaving her needing 7 stiches. In 2009 he was arrested for holding a knife to his wife Brooke Muller´s throat and threatening to kill her.
In 1999 he pleaded guilty to stabbing record producer Lance Rivera. When he was 12 he shot his brother in the shoulder for stealing his ring.
Although acquitted at a criminal trial, a civil trial found him guilty for the double murder of his ex-wife and her friend. In 2007 he was sentenced to 33 years in prison on armed robbery and kidnapping charges, in an attempt to retrieve his spots memorabilia.
The 2012 Paralympic gold medalist fired 4 shots through a closed door, killing his girlfriend. He claimed he mistook her for an intruder and was found guilty of culpable homicide.
British children´s TV presenter Jimmy Savile used his celebrity status to sexually abuse up to 400 adults and children. He performed sex acts on corpses and made jewelry with the dead victims´ glass eyes.
