Art work are a creation on a product of human profession that has the goal to stimulate human senses and human mind and spirit; according to that, art work is a result of activities created with the intention to convey emotions and ideas.

Quality of art work is usually estimated based on the amount of stimulation which it causes-the impression it leaves on people, number of people in who this art work caused some emotion, and in which measure that work is appreciated, and effect or influence that work leaves behind. Most artworks that are generally considered as art work have these qualities.

From earliest time people expressed their feelings through art, and as the result of that we have numerous drawings in caves, pictures and sculpt work on known and less known authors. These works represent priceless art treasure, which can be admired in many museums and galleries all over the world. To preserve them in the best condition, restorers are trying in every way to preserve from the tooth of time. However, these efforts sometimes seem superfluous. Often happens that some of these pieces that have for hundred and even thousands of year delighted lovers of art, by someone’s negligence disappear forever. Danger doesn’t come only from criminals, but clumsiness of employees or visitors of the museum, or mistreating these artworks.

Modern art piece “When It Starts Dripping From The Ceiling”, worth $1.054.251, was irretrievably damaged. A cleaner thought a layer of paint on it was grime, cleaning it off.

80-zear –old Spanish painter Cecilia Gimenez tried to restore a 19th century Ecce Homo. Dubbed the worst restoration in history, it soon becomes a meme.

A Lucian Freud painting, worth $240.000, was at an auction house in London. It crate was mistaken for rubbish and it was thrown out and lost to a landfill.
